Foreclosures Top the 1 Million mark!

Comments

There are seminars up here based on the 'opportunities' from foreclosures in the States as 'investment opportunities'. I went to a couple of them to hear what they were about, but I am not personally comfortable (from an ethical standpoint) taking advantage of someone who is unable to make their house payments. However, apparently, there are lots of people who have no qualms doing this whatsoever and they are making lots of money at it.

I would like to hear your thoughts on where the country will be goig after a change in leadership. What you think will happen with rates. Here in CA they are all Jumbo/super Jumbo so alot of the rate change rules don't apply.
Always love to hear your financial opinion on daily news.

John,

You always have great information. I'm learning a lot! Do you think that things will turn around after the next president is elected?

Builders and landscapers are profiting? Good on them. They're simply providing value to whoever needs their expertise in the current situation.

I'm curious to know, as well, what you think will happen after the new president is in office. How do you think the market will go?

doesn't really matter who is president, jenn. hey john, i think we double this number in another 18 months...you?

What's interesting is that people have hope that a new President will change something, when in fact the only effect he can possibly have is to make the situation worse by interfering with the market.

Like Kevin, I think foreclosures are only going to rise, especially here in Southern California. Mortgage applications are down to their lowest levels since 2002, indicating that people are staying out of the market.

Neither one of the idiots that is running for presidents are going to change anything. Especially the market. The future doesn't look so bright right now. But, yes, I have hope that it will get brighter! It always does!

Good info though! Thanks!

The rise in foreclosures really makes me want to hold of buying a house. I just don't know what the final "reset" value will shake out to be for houses. Ah well, I'll have to bite the bullet sooner or later.

Things look like they will get worse before they get better. Unemployment is up oil is setting new highs. I don't think I would be bargain hunting just yet.

Too many people buying houses that they can't afford and paying too much money can lead to problems... I am not so sure why anyone would believe that the Government would be a place to turn to for help. "I'm from the government and I'm here to help"? They are the least efficient people to get anything done.
